Ready for Australia & New Zealand.

Practical support for product compliance, cyber security and transport documentation across both markets.

Australian Competition and Consumer Commission
ACCC · AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW

Product safety & regulatory coordination

We help manufacturers understand Australian product safety requirements, prepare supporting information and coordinate communications with regulators, including the ACCC.

What we help coordinate
  • Applicable mandatory standards, including button and coin battery requirements.
  • Safety information, consumer guarantee processes and product traceability.
  • Recall preparation and incident-response coordination.
Electrical Equipment Safety SchemeRegulatory Compliance Mark — reference symbol
AUSTRALIA · EESS · ACMA · RCM

Electrical safety, wireless & RCM

We help with applicable supplier registration, supporting product evidence and RCM labelling, checking electrical safety and communications requirements separately.

What we help coordinate
  • EESS scope, risk classification and applicable supplier and equipment registrations.
  • ACMA requirements for electromagnetic compatibility, radio, telecommunications and electromagnetic energy, as applicable.
  • Coordination of test evidence, supplier declarations, compliance records and product labelling.

EESS registration and RCM obligations are specific to the supplier, equipment and applicable rules.

Device security & documentation
SMART DEVICES · DECLARATIONS · RETAILER REQUIREMENTS

Cyber security & retailer readiness

We work with retail partners to help manufacturers prepare cyber security declarations, organise supporting evidence and respond to channel requirements.

  • Cyber security
  • Statements of compliance
What we help coordinate
  • Check whether each product falls within Australia’s smart-device security rules.
  • Coordinate evidence on default password security, vulnerability reporting contacts and the published security update support period.
  • Help manufacturers prepare the statutory statement of compliance and coordinate its retention by manufacturers and suppliers for five years.
  • Coordinate retailer questionnaires, requested declarations and follow-up evidence separately from the statutory statement.

Australian rules apply to in-scope devices manufactured on or after 4 March 2026. Exclusions include smartphones, laptops and tablets; retailer requirements may still apply. The manufacturer issues the statutory statement.

Dangerous goods coordination
BATTERIES · AIR · SEA · ROAD & RAIL

Dangerous goods. Prepared for the journey.

We help brands coordinate battery transport evidence, packing and shipping documentation with qualified dangerous goods providers for Australian and New Zealand routes.

  • UN 38.3
  • ICAO / IATA DGR
  • IMDG Code
  • AU ADG Code
  • NZ Land Transport
What we help coordinate
  • Identify the chemistry, UN number, capacity and shipping configuration: batteries alone, packed with equipment or contained in equipment.
  • Coordinate applicable UN 38.3 test summaries, classification evidence and safety data requested by the carrier. A safety data sheet does not replace a required test summary.
  • Air: check ICAO requirements, IATA DGR packing instructions, state-of-charge limits and airline restrictions with the freight provider.
  • Sea: coordinate applicable IMDG classification, packing, marking, documentation and segregation requirements.
  • Land: check the Australian ADG Code and state or territory rules; assess New Zealand land transport requirements separately.
  • Check packaging, short-circuit protection, marks, labels and declarations where required. Damaged, defective, recalled and returned batteries need a separate assessment.

Requirements depend on the product, quantity, condition and route. Transport acceptance, responsibilities of trained personnel and any required approvals are confirmed with the relevant provider.

Category-specific requirements
ENERGY · PRODUCT SAFETY · TECHNICAL STANDARDS

The right checks for each product

We coordinate checks on applicable energy efficiency requirements and technical evidence with laboratories for the product category and destination market.

What we help coordinate
  • GEMS registration and energy-labelling requirements for regulated Australian product categories.
  • Identify relevant standards with qualified laboratories, such as AS/NZS 62368.1, IEC 62133-2 or IEC 62619 where applicable.
  • Check the applicable edition of each standard and ensure reports match the product model, power supply and battery configuration.
New Zealand market requirements
WORKSAFE · RSM · EECA

New Zealand. Local requirements covered.

We help manufacturers identify New Zealand electrical safety, radio, EMC and energy efficiency requirements, and coordinate the evidence needed for local supply.

  • Electrical safety / SDoC
  • RSM / RCM / R-NZ
  • EECA / E3
What we help coordinate
  • WorkSafe: check electrical safety obligations, including Supplier Declarations of Conformity and approvals for applicable declared articles.
  • RSM: check radio and EMC standards, supplier documentation and the applicable RCM or R-NZ labelling route.
  • EECA: check minimum energy performance, product registration and energy-labelling requirements for regulated categories.
  • Review the local supplier’s responsibilities and whether Australian evidence or registrations are recognised for the particular product.

Australian compliance is not a blanket approval for New Zealand. Requirements and recognition arrangements must be checked for each product.

PACKAGING & CIRCULARITY

Less waste. More considered choices.

Working with manufacturers and retailers on practical, evidence-based improvements.

Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation
PACKAGING DESIGN & ENVIRONMENTAL CLAIMS

Less plastic. Better packaging.

We help manufacturers and channel partners reduce unnecessary plastic, optimise packaging size and choose materials suited to local recovery systems.

What we help coordinate
  • Review films, foams, mixed-material components and unnecessary packaging volume.
  • Assess paper and fibre alternatives alongside product protection and transport testing.
  • Document material changes and substantiate specific recycling or environmental claims.

Material substitution is assessed for protection and actual recovery outcomes, not appearance alone.

Packaging evidence & communication
MATERIALS · RECYCLING INFORMATION · RETAILER REQUIREMENTS

Packaging improvements, backed by evidence.

We help manufacturers turn packaging changes into clear specifications and supporting information for retail partners.

What we help coordinate
  • Document plastic reductions with material specifications, packaging weights and before-and-after records.
  • Coordinate retailer packaging questionnaires and supplier evidence for material changes.
  • Review disposal instructions for the destination market and support specific, substantiated environmental claims.

Recyclability depends on materials and available local collection systems. Claims should reflect the evidence for the particular packaging.

PEOPLE & RESPONSIBLE SOURCING

Better visibility across the supply chain.

Helping manufacturers respond to retailer expectations with meaningful information and follow-through.

Sedex
SOCIAL AUDIT COORDINATION

Sedex & SMETA connections

We connect manufacturers with Sedex and approved audit companies, and help organise the information requested by retail partners.

What we help coordinate
  • Connect supplier teams with the appropriate Sedex membership and approved audit provider.
  • Coordinate retailer requests covering labour standards, health and safety, environmental practices and business ethics.
  • Support communication around supplier improvement actions and follow-up evidence.

SMETA is an audit methodology, not a certification. Audits are conducted by Sedex-approved Affiliate Audit Companies.

Product & supplier readiness
SUPPLIER DUE DILIGENCE

Responsible sourcing, documented

We help document supply chains and respond to modern slavery questionnaires and retailer due diligence requirements with clear, organised information.

What we help coordinate
  • Supplier mapping, risk-based questions and supporting factory information.
  • Retailer codes of conduct, worker welfare and information on grievance processes.
  • Documented corrective actions and responses to modern slavery reporting requests.

Australian mandatory modern slavery reporting applies to entities meeting the statutory criteria; supply-chain requests can reach smaller businesses too.

One product. A coordinated evidence pack.

Product model details, test reports, supplier declarations, transport records and packaging information — organised around the market and channel requirements.
